The current status as of August 12th-

VACATION RENTALS UPDATE

• Prohibit rentals to persons traveling internationally.
• Allow adequate time between the conclusion of a guest stay and the check-in of the next guest stay for appropriate cleaning and sanitation.
• Clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces in the property between each guest stay.
• Wash all linens, dishware and other service items available for use by guests between each guest rental.
• Provide sufficient soap and surface sanitation supplies for guests to use in the vacation rental property during the guest’s rental period.
• Ensure adequate safety protocols are in place and publicly displayed in line with CDC guidance regarding shared or multi-residence amenities such as pools, gyms and other communal spaces.
• Follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting the facility: CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.

RESTAURANTS

• May increase indoor capacity to 50% with proper social distancing
• Outdoor seating encouraged

RETAIL

• May increase capacity to 50% if permitted by local governments

BARBER SHOPS AND SALONS

• Barber shops, hair and nail salons can reopen but must follow safety protocols.

BEACH UPDATES

Captiva, Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach Update:

• All the beaches are open!

Beaches and Vacation Rentals are Open!

• August 5th, 2020- Governor Desantis lifts travel restrictions; see order here
• Sanibel Island has enacted facial mask regulations for public and private usage. Facemasks are required in all public buildings, shops, stores, groceries and restaurants; see guideline here.
• June 26th order is still in effect. See that order here.
• Establishments who derive more than 50% of their revenue from alcohol sales are closed.
• Restaurants are at 50% capacity: see order here
• June 5th- Governor Desantis “Phase 2” of reopening Florida process to start on June 6th. Phase 2 guidelines can be found here.
